We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Director of Learning & Organizational Development to spearhead talent management & development strategies. This role is pivotal in cultivating a culture of continuous learning and leadership excellence.


We are posting this role on behalf of one of our clients based in San Diego. This role is open to relocation support for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities


Organizational Development:

  • Lead and enhance our approach to talent management and succession planning, ensuring the development and progression of our talent pool.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics to diagnose and address talent trends, evaluating the impact of our programs.
  • Design and implement strategies to strengthen our internal talent pipeline, aligned with workforce trends and organizational capabilities.
  • Facilitate effective talent calibration and reviews in collaboration with HR Business Partners and leadership teams.
  • Educate and train the organization on talent management processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Partner with the HRIS team to align talent management processes with technological solutions.
  • Develop and execute organizational development initiatives for HR Business Partners to utilize.


Learning & Leadership Development:

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's learning and leadership development strategy, ensuring programs are relevant and impactful.
  • Support and implement leadership development programs to nurture a robust global talent pipeline.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners to identify critical capability gaps and create solutions to address these needs.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum for management and leadership development programs.
  • Measure the effectiveness and usage of learning initiatives, using feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and partner with vendors to source or customize learning content.
  • Employ a variety of learning methodologies, including workshops, coaching, mentoring, and e-learning, to cater to diverse learning preferences.
  • Identify and integrate timely leadership development topics and capabilities into leadership forums.


Learning Management System:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of the company's learning management system.
  • Develop policies and training for users, and lead testing and evaluation of new features and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Training and Development, HR, or Technical Training to meet business needs and create an engaging learning platform.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and IT to manage system integration and data transfers.
  • Provide guidance on the development of dashboards, tracking, metrics, reporting tools, and process improvements.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in management
  • Proven transformational experience in learning and development, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Experience with the development and maintenance of Learning Management Systems
  • Strong leadership skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing learning management systems and other relevant technologies.
  • Analytical skills to measure and improve program effectiveness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership, people management, and team building skills
