Our mission is to provide a deep operational understanding of the intricacies of commerce, addressing the unique challenges faced by retail and e-commerce organizations. Unlike generic AI solutions, Chord focuses on contextual, business-specific insights by leveraging our innovative Context Graph—a system of record that captures commerce data, decision rules, outcomes, and precedents. This foundation enables trusted automation, from plain-language queries to actionable recommendations, and paves the way for future agentic operations involving insights, suggested actions, and human approval. Backed by top-tier investors and led by experienced operators, we are committed to solving real-world problems faced by commerce teams. Our remote-first, distributed team across North America fosters a collaborative environment where thoughtful, detail-oriented, and impact-driven professionals can thrive and contribute to shaping the future of commerce AI.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in Product and Engineering, you will develop data solutions that facilitate experimentation, insights, and decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include implementing data quality monitoring systems, documenting data assets, designing integrations, and contributing to the long-term architecture strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of commerce AI, leveraging your expertise to create foundational data systems that empower our organization and clients alike.

  • Hands-on experience ingesting data from third-party APIs and building pipelines with Dagster and Snowflake (Snowpipe, streams, and tasks)
  • Proficiency with workflow orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect, and data transformation tools like dbt
  • Familiarity with DataOps tools including Docker, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
  • Experience with AI or ML is a plus
