About the role:

The Tech Lead will oversee the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from inception to production, ensuring smooth deployment processes, and maintaining high standards of code quality. You will mentor and manage developers, contribute to the technical growth of the team, and play a crucial role in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fully understand and manage the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ensure code progression from inception to production
• Understand and apply various deployment processes
• Navigate and manage business workflows essential for code progression through the SDLC
• Contribute to the technical growth of the team and program
• Mentor and manage developers
• Participate in technical challenges and contribute solutions in tech lead forums
• Contribute to program-wide areas of focus such as speed and scale
• Manage production applications and the support and maintenance process
• Serve as the technical voice to clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with their needs
• Engage with other service areas (Infrastructure, Security, HelpDesk, etc.) as needed
• Provide architecture solutions within organizational boundaries and propose new solutions for consideration
• Identify opportunities for code reuse and minimize conflicts and duplication across applications/services
• Ensure EA review of application architectural/design decisions, services, etc.
• Perform code reviews and enforce code quality standards
• Facilitate consistent design and coding standards to reduce future refactoring efforts
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for production issues, identifying impacts, workarounds, root causes, and long-term resolutions

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Developer
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Expertise in Java, J2EE, and related technologies
• Proven track record in troubleshooting production issues and managing support processes
• SQL, Program Management, XML
• Experience in mentoring and managing developers
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate technical challenges
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with clients and various service areas
• Ability to provide and implement architecture solutions
• Experience with code reviews, coding standards, and maintaining code quality
• Experience with production issue management and technical leadership

Salary Range:

$110,000-126,500
