We are seeking full-time consultants who are business savvy and interested in joining an exceptional team of forward thinkers focused on delivering value for our financial services clients. With regulatory changes on the horizon, our clients have a growing need for experienced management consultants who hold expertise in this area.


The Credit Risk Project Manager will oversee and manage projects aimed at enhancing credit risk management within the firm. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering projects on time within budget.


You must have valid US work authorization and must physically reside in the NYC area, within a 50-mile commute. We are unable to support relocation costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, initiate, and execute credit risk management projects from start to finish.
  • Drive adherence and updates to processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions if necessary.
  • Assist with daily monitoring of credit risk limit frameworks, including interaction with systems; follow ups with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate the governance of regulatory required activities, where a team has ownership or oversight or coordination duties; proactively anticipating management needs.
  • Drive the design and delivery of technology projects, automation solutions, Proofs of Concept and drafting of business & functional requirements to technology partners, performing user testing.
  • Prepare and present templated and standardized reports that address specific management update needs (e.g., monthly program updates; Key Risk Indicators; quarterly mgmt. reviews etc.).
  • Partner with business stakeholders, independent oversight and controls functions and provide inputs and the support they require from the team and the credit risk limits framework.
  • Identify areas for control improvement; implement continuous improvements such as opportunities for automation and process efficiencies.


Key Skills:

  • 8+ years’ experience in a financial services institution or in a corporate control function (exposure to financial products and services is required).
  • 8+ years in project management, proficient in Agile & Waterfall.
  • 8+ years of experience at a top-tier consulting firm (e.g., Accenture, E&Y, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC, IBM Global Services, Sapient), global investment bank or Fortune 500 company.
  • Credit Risk management and/or audit, regulatory or QA experience; strong understanding of risk management and controls frameworks.
  • Familiar with a range of traded products in wholesale lending and capital markets trading.
  • Experience working on and/or leading large cross functional programs, building independent relationships.
  • Track record of having participated in driving change and innovating in the risk and control space (responding to changes in business demands due to market changes or regulation change) in a collaborative way.
  • Strong technical skills (MS, Excel, Jira, PPT, etc.).
  • Strong verbal & communication skills will be working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.


** The base salary for this role will be between $130,000-160,000 per year**
