Software Engineer, Distributed Systems and Security - Data Structures / Algorithms / Linux / Networking / CI/CD / DevOps

We're working with a genuinely exciting, security focused semiconductor company and they need a number Software Engineer for Distributed Systems and Security to join the team onsite in Amsterdam on a permanent basis.

What we look for in return is:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Ph.D. is a plus)
- Proficiency in data structures and algorithms
- Extensive experience in distributed systems and networking
- Strong knowledge of the Linux stack and kernel-level programming
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies
- Good knowledge of containerization and orchestration
- Expertise in implementing and optimizing networking protocols
- Familiarity with security principles and best practices in software development
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong programming skills in languages relevant to system-level and distributed computing
- Good understanding of the networking stack and tools, including SDNs
- Understanding of SDN (Software-Defined Networking) concepts and applications
- Knowledge of distributed computing concepts and algorithms
Any of the following will be considered a plus:
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Familiarity with networking equipment and protocols used by companies like Cisco and Juniper Networks
- Background in cryptography or secure computing
- Contributions to open-source projects related to distributed systems or networking
- Experience with NetApps and their integration into distributed systems
