As the Director Quality and Patient Safety leading Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Patient Safety programs, this role advances a comprehensive quality ecosystem within a prominent, 140-bed not-for-profit Public Hospital District that delivers top-tier community benefit through an extensive multi-specialty footprint, state-of-the-art emergency/trauma care, and a seamless MEDITECH Expanse electronic medical records system; the Director Quality or Director Quality Assurance will harness modern dashboards, outcomes tracking, and benchmarking to accelerate improvement, strengthen Just Culture, elevate patient advocacy and safety, and hardwire sustainable gains across inpatient, ambulatory, and emergent care.

Reporting to senior clinical leadership (such as the Chief Quality Officer or VP of Quality/Safety), the Director Quality and Patient Safety oversees accreditation and regulatory readiness, infection prevention, patient safety, performance improvement, peer review, risk mitigation, policy and standards alignment, and enterprise-grade data analytics; supported by quality analysts, patient safety specialists, infection preventionists, educators, and informatics partners, the Director Risk Management collaborates closely with friendly nurses, engaged physicians and APPs, pharmacy, PT/OT, case management, social work, and care management to lead RCAs, FMEAs, HRO initiatives, sepsis/rapid response optimization, throughput improvements, antimicrobial stewardship, and evidence-based pathways—ensuring the Director Compliance and the broader team are equipped to drive measurable, organization-wide results.
