Responsibilities
As a Principal Test Automation Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and implement test topologies and test cases based on customer business needs, ensuring comprehensive end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with AI Infrastructure Test Engineers to enhance solution coverage and minimize customer-reported defects.
- Review Python automation scripts to ensure efficient test scenarios and future regression tests.
- Diagnose and resolve complex customer issues with outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Develop and execute multidimensional deployment scenarios to measure software quality and performance benchmarks.
- Analyze and root-cause software issues identified during execution, working closely with stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, architects, and executives to align product/feature requirements with customer priorities.
- Highlight emerging technologies and customer use cases to improve product deliverables.
- Support replication of customer-reported issues and provide root-cause corrective actions.
- Deliver proof-of-concept (POC) solutions to demonstrate feasibility for specific customer use cases.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in networking.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in internet protocols: TCP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6.
- Expertise in networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF/ISIS, ARP, VLANs, MPLS, L3VPN, MC-LAG, LACP, L2VPN, VPLS, Multicast, NGMVPN, EVPN-VXLAN, GRE, IPSec, NAT, HTTP, NetConf, etc.
- Strong understanding of Layer 2 technologies, Spanning Tree, LAG, MC-LAG, Virtual Chassis, and CLOS Architecture.
- Experience in test planning, execution, and understanding complex customer networks.
- Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Pytest, or Go.
- Familiarity with networking test equipment like Spirent and Ixia, including automation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of cloud architectures, distributed computing, microservices, and DevOps.
- Expertise in design thinking, solutions design, and user experience (UX).
