Role Description The Chief Technical Officer (AI and Blockchain) is a remote, contract role responsible for defining and executing Echellon Motion’s technology vision across AI, blockchain, and related platforms. This role leads the end-to-end design and development of scalable technical architectures, oversees core product and platform roadmaps, and ensures alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding software development teams, reviewing technical designs, setting engineering standards, and making build-versus-buy decisions. The CTO partners closely with leadership, product, and marketing to prioritize features, manage technical risk, and ensure secure, compliant deployments. The role also involves evaluating new AI and blockchain technologies, establishing best practices, mentoring technical leaders, and representing the technology organization in key client and partner discussions.
Qualifications

• Proficiency in Software Development, with hands-on experience building and scaling AI- or blockchain-enabled applications.
• Strong Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, stakeholder communication, and delivery in agile environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in IT Strategy and Architecture, including cloud-native design, security, data governance, and integration patterns.

• Proven track record in Product Development, from concept and MVP through iterative releases and optimization.
• Extensive leadership experience in senior technical roles (e.g., CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Technology) in digital, AI, or blockchain-focused organizations.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks, data pipelines, and model deployment, as well as practical experience with blockchain protocols or smart contracts.
