The Design team at Backpack is responsible for how the world experiences our brand โ externally and inside the product.
As a Senior Brand & Visual Designer, you'll define one clear, confident visual language across every touchpoint and raise the craft of the details that separate a product people use from a product people trust.
You'll work closely with Product Design, Marketing, and Engineering to bring a cohesive identity to life across everything we ship.

- Define and own a cohesive visual style across marketing, social, and brand touchpoints.
- Carry that consistency into the product โ illustration, iconography, imagery, and the visual details that shape how the product feels.

- Build a reusable visual toolkit โ illustration system, brand guidelines, and templates โ the whole team can work from.
- Partner with product design to keep brand and product visually in sync as both evolve.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements)
- 5+ years of professional brand and/or visual design experience, with a standout portfolio across digital surfaces.
- Excellent illustration skills and a distinctive, original aesthetic โ not generic or off-the- shelf.
- Proven experience defining or evolving a brand identity and keeping it consistent at scale.
- A sharp eye for detail and the discipline to apply a visual system rigorously.
- Comfort working fluidly across both marketing and in-product contexts.
