Hiire is helping Funcom hire a Lead Python Developer for their Engineering team.

Your Mission in Funcom
In this position, you will be responsible for improving existing tools and delivering new ones, by designing systems and features that match the requirements of other teams within the company. You will act as Technical Lead by taking part in code reviews, coaching team members, and guiding the team towards technical proficiency.
This is a position where the right candidate will have the chance to work end-to-end on exciting projects and new tools to facilitate the development of our in-house games. As a Senior Tools Programmer at Funcom, you will use your experience to improve both the quality and robustness of the code, as well as improve the end-user experiences.
How you can have an impact in your position:
• Design and develop new tools to increase productivity in the game and content teams
• Improve and extend existing tools and backend systems
• Coach team members to improve their technical skills
We are looking for you to have:
• Proficiency in Python
• Proficiency in relational databases (such as PostgreSQL)
• 5+ years of professional programming experience
• Experience with C# or C++
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English is our working language)
In addition, ideally, you might also have:
• Experience with full-stack web development
• Experience working with Unreal Editor
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
