IT Support Technician

(100% remote work, German required)

The Boschung Group, headquartered in Payerne VD Switzerland, is a world leader in the development and production of solutions for efficient and safe traffic areas for the largest airports, busiest motorways and most visited cities and communities around the globe.

The team speaks German, French and English to ensure fluent communication within Switzerland and with international customers.

These are your main tasks

• Support and troubleshooting of various IT infrastructure components and services
• Implementation of new IT infrastructure services, including system standard documentation
• Maintenance and installation processes of IT services (specialised applications, VPN, IoT devices, administration of Linux OS servers)
• Monitoring our IT platforms and recognising incidents and improvements
• Daily use of databases (MySQL)
• Technical support
• Participation in the on-call service

This is your profile

• Qualification as an IT specialist or equivalent education/work experience
• Organised and structured way of working, both independently and as part of a team
• Business fluent in German and English is required, French is an advantage
• Understanding of and experience with GNU/Linux systems, network administration (based on Debian) and network technologies (e.g. VPN, VLANs)
• Practical experience with monitoring, diagnostic and analysis tools such as Nagios based solutions (checkmk, centreon)
