We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Network Test Engineer II to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and security of networking systems and software.
• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design test strategies, and ensure system compatibility.
• Utilize automation tools and scripts to enhance efficiency and accuracy in network testing processes.
• Monitor and analyze test results to proactively identify areas of improvement, optimizing network performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovations into the testing process.
• Mentor and guide junior test engineers to foster growth and knowledge-sharing.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with the organization’s quality standards and maintain detailed documentation for compliance purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in network/system testing or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, VLAN, VPN) and troubleshooting tools.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Shell), and network simulation/emulation tools.
• Familiarity with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and virtualization technologies.
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in an agile environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to collaborate productively with a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
• Experience with cloud networking, SDN, or NFV technologies.

Day-to-Day

• Analyze and interpret technical requirements to create comprehensive test plans and ensure project alignment.
• Design, run, and analyze network performance tests, simulating real-world scenarios.
• Investigate and resolve network issues, working closely with engineering teams.
• Develop scripts for test automation to streamline the software testing lifecycle.
• Attend team meetings to provide critical insights into testing progress and findings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by proposing innovative testing methods and solutions.
• Document test results clearly and concisely to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.
