Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer to support the implementation, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of MES solutions within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, MES architecture, system integration, production support, and cross-functional collaboration. This role will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, IT, and NPI teams to ensure stable system performance and successful production execution.
Key Responsibilities- Implement, configure, maintain, and upgrade MES applications and related systems.
- Ensure MES system stability and provide daily production support for manufacturing operations.
- Design, configure, and optimize MES workflows based on manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and packaging.
- Integrate MES with enterprise systems such as ERP, SAP, WMS, PLM, and other manufacturing platforms.
- Support production line operations by resolving MES-related issues involving work orders, routing, workstation management, WIP tracking, station transfers, station locks, and release controls.
- Analyze system issues, perform troubleshooting, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with QA and QE teams to establish quality control, traceability, defect management, and production monitoring solutions.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including MES setup, process validation, pilot runs, and mass production deployment.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, IE, PE, QA, IT, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and drive system enhancements.
- Integrate data from barcode systems, manufacturing equipment, automated production lines, and test systems.
- Configure and maintain traceability functions, serial number (SN) management, lot tracking, and product genealogy requirements.
- Create and maintain MES documentation, SOPs, and user training materials.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience supporting or implementing MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of MES architecture and core modules, including:
- Work Orders
- Routing
- BOM Management
- Work Reporting
- Station Transfer
- WIP Management
- Product Traceability
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, including assembly, testing, and packaging processes.
- Experience supporting MES implementation for NPI, pilot production, and mass production environments.
- Experience integrating MES with ERP, SAP, WMS, PLM, or other enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in SQL and database operations for troubleshooting, validation, and data analysis.
- Experience with barcode systems, SN/Lot management, and equipment integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Experience with MES implementation, customization, or software development.
- Experience supporting electronics manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.
- Familiarity with manufacturing automation, Industry 4.0, IIoT, or Smart Factory initiatives.
- Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational databases.
- Knowledge of API integration, web services, or manufacturing equipment communication protocols is a plus.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus.
