We are seeking a talented and motivated Network Test Engineer II to join our dynamic IT & Software Engineering team. This position is ideal for an individual with a passion for testing and optimizing complex network systems. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute test plans and procedures to validate network systems, hardware, and software.
- Perform automated and manual testing on network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Identify, document, and track issues, working cross-functionally with development and operations teams to resolve them.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define network testing strategies and requirements.
- Evaluate and implement testing automation tools to improve efficiency and coverage of network testing.
- Analyze test results to detect product configuration defects, performance bottlenecks, and scalability limitations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network test configurations, results, and issue reports.
- Stay updated on new network technologies, standards, and best practices to ensure testing remains current and effective.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in network testing, network engineering, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, and VPN.
- Hands-on experience with network testing tools (e.g., Wireshark, IxChariot, Scapy, or iPerf).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Bash to develop testing scripts.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
Preferred:
- Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant networking certifications.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) frameworks in the context of network automation.
- Knowledge of security testing and vulnerabilities in network systems.

Day-to-Day
- Conduct functional, stress, and performance tests of network infrastructure and protocols.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and product managers, to meet project milestones.
- Automate recurring testing processes to reduce manual efforts and improve process efficiency.
- Evaluate and implement improvements to existing network testing methodologies.
- Participate in team meetings, providing updates on testing progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Document and analyze test data, preparing detailed reports for internal review and use.
- Support the resolution of real-time network incidents through detailed testing and root cause analysis.
