What would you be doing?

• Work across Wishlink's consumer-facing products: the React Native shopping app, the creator app, and internal web dashboards. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will actively build and write production code, not just manage or delegate.
• Build and optimize video-heavy, reels-style UIs with smooth gesture-driven interactions, HLS playback, and the kind of performance that feels native.
• Drive frontend architecture and developer experience across the team: establish patterns around state management, navigation, and API integrations, build shared components and libraries, and make it easier and faster for engineers to ship reliable features.

• Tackle cross-platform challenges across iOS and Android, from debugging native modules in Kotlin and Swift to managing platform-specific build pipelines with Gradle, Xcode, and EAS Build.
• Own the release pipeline end-to-end: EAS builds, OTA updates, GitHub Actions CI, and the Play Store and App Store release workflows. Make deployments boring and reliable.
• Raise the engineering bar through thoughtful code reviews, mentorship of junior engineers, and setting standards for code quality, testing, and performance.
• Navigate our current stack: React Native (Hermes, New Architecture, Reanimated), Expo + EAS, TypeScript, React Query, Firebase, and Sentry.

What are we looking for?

• If you are a content creator yourself or have worked closely in the social media space, we like you already :)
• 6+ years of software engineering experience building production React Native apps shipped to both Play Store and App Store. You identify as a strong engineer first, someone who can reason about systems, not just operate frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of the React Native New Architecture, JSI, and Reanimated worklets. Hands-on experience with Expo SDK, EAS Build, and OTA updates, not just managed Expo, but the full prebuild-to-production pipeline.
• Proven experience profiling and optimizing React Native apps: FlatList virtualization, re-render reduction, Hermes profiling, startup TTI. You care about platform-level metrics like app launch time, asset size, frozen frames, and crash rates, and you know how to move them.
• Comfortable writing and debugging native code in Kotlin (Android) and Swift/Obj-C (iOS) when the JavaScript layer isn't enough. You can navigate Gradle builds and CocoaPods without flinching.
• Track record of elevating team practices through code reviews, architecture discussions, and guiding engineers on scalable design without needing formal authority.
• You can articulate technical trade-offs to engineers, product managers, and designers alike, and drive alignment in ambiguous problem spaces.

Good to Have

• Experience building video-heavy or reels-style UIs, with analytics/attribution SDK integration, or with deep linking across both platforms.
• Experience with design systems, shared component libraries, or internal frontend tooling that improved developer velocity.
• Exposure to web frontend (React.js) for internal dashboards alongside mobile app work.
