Lead Software Engineer / Technical Architect (Solidity, Web3) — Zurich

Founding technical hire | Smart contracts | End-to-end platform architecture | Equity + CHF base

We are hiring a Lead Blockchain Engineer / Technical Architect to own the technology behind a live, revenue-generating institutional blockchain platform based in Zurich. This is the first senior engineering hire into a newly formed company, spun out of an established digital-asset and asset-management innovation environment. Think founding CTO-track role, hands-on, with real product, real clients, and real assets already on-chain.

The platform is a governance and compliance layer that lets financial institutions adopt blockchain without building infrastructure from scratch. It encodes business processes as smart contracts, enforces multi-signature and four-eyes approval policies across business units, and onboards institutional clients who have no prior wallet or chain experience. Custody runs through audited external partners. You own the rest.

Lead Software Engineer:

• Own end-to-end architecture of the platform and drive its technical evolution
• Lead full-stack software engineering, hands-on, across web app and on-chain layers
• Design, review, and harden Solidity smart contracts and the wallet/governance infrastructure around them
• Direct an existing Solidity engineer and an offshore front-end / back-end development team, plus external software integrations
• Translate compliance, KYC, and governance requirements into secure technical implementation

• Keep external security audits clean (current platform passed with zero high or severe findings) and help drive toward ISO certification

What you will bring

• Strong computer science fundamentals and a track record of architecting high-quality, secure systems from the ground up
• Solid Solidity and smart contract development experience, with a security-first mindset
• Full-stack engineering depth in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Genuine blockchain / Web3 fluency, grounded in solid engineering rather than DeFi hype
• Comfort owning architecture decisions independently and reasoning across the full system
• Entrepreneurial drive: you want to build and own a product, not just collect a paycheck

Tech stack Solidity, Smart Contracts, EVM, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, SQL, Web3 tooling, multi-signature wallet infrastructure.

Salary 130/150k CHF plus Equity
