Your Role

You will design, build, and optimize AI agents that navigate healthcare billing workflows and resolve insurance claim denials. From multi-agent systems and RAG pipelines to model evaluation and production deployment, this role blends technical innovation with practical problem solving.

What You'll Do

▪️ Design and build the architecture for an agentic AI platform focused on healthcare revenue recovery

▪️ Develop specialized AI agents for denial classification, root cause analysis, evidence retrieval, policy reasoning, and appeal generation

▪️ Implement multi-agent orchestration frameworks to coordinate complex workflows across research, decision-making, and document generation

▪️ Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for accessing clinical documentation, billing records, and payer policy information

▪️ Create evaluation frameworks, testing methodologies, and feedback loops to continuously improve agent performance

▪️ Design prompt engineering strategies and model optimization approaches to enhance LLM effectiveness

▪️ Collaborate closely with healthcare billing specialists to translate operational workflows into intelligent agent behaviors

▪️ Partner with engineering teams to deploy, monitor, and scale AI systems in production environments

▪️ Contribute to the company's AI vision, technical roadmap, and long-term platform strategy

▪️ Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical documentation to maintain engineering excellence

What You Bring

▪️ 3+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or Applied AI Researcher

▪️ Hands-on experience building and deploying production AI/ML systems, including LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows

▪️ Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Transformers, or similar tools

▪️ Understanding of prompt engineering, model evaluation, cloud deployment, monitoring, and scalable infrastructure

▪️ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-moving startup environments

▪️ Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical, product, and healthcare operations teams

Package

▪️ Base salary: $180,000 - $280,000

▪️ Equity: 0.03% - 0.20%
