About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Engineer to join our dedicated engineering team at POLIS Immobilien AG. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support our core business operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and frontend developers, to ensure our digital platforms are efficient, reliable, and aligned with our strategic goals. Qualifications

• Proven experience in backend development with a strong understanding of Java, object-oriented programming principles, and best coding practices.
• Solid knowledge of SQL databases, particularly MySQL, including database design, optimization, and management.
• Hands-on experience working with public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and implementing microservices architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on algorithmic thinking and system design.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
