Job Description

About WelcomeHome

WelcomeHome is an Atlanta-based SaaS startup with the mission to build the best Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform in the senior living and home care sectors. Since launch in 2019, we have achieved incredibly rapid growth.

Profitable from day one, we've hit hypergrowth with a team that prioritizes client results over external / VC reporting and internal politics.

WelcomeHome's differentiation extends beyond providing the most technologically advanced, easiest to use software in the space. Clients receive world class support, from the migration from their legacy CRM platform to ongoing day to day training and troubleshooting.

About the Role

As WelcomeHome's Senior Technical AI Product Manager, you will define and drive how AI creates value across our products — but this is not a traditional PM role.

You will report to WelcomeHome's VP of Product and own our AI roadmap from ideation to delivery, identifying the highest-impact opportunities and then actively helping build them. Your job is to get an idea 80% of the way there — validating concepts, designing prompts, prototyping with LLMs and APIs, and defining clear technical specs. You'll work alongside engineering throughout: looping them in early to pressure-test feasibility, gut-check direction, and make sure the 80% you're building is actually the right 80% before they take it to production.

This means you're not just writing tickets. You're testing ideas in notebooks, calling APIs, running evals, iterating on prompts, and making concrete technical decisions about data inputs, model selection, and system behavior. You bring product clarity and technical depth together, and you know when to push a concept forward and when to kill it.

You will own every stage of the AI product journey: prioritizing the highest-impact opportunities, working with customers to shape the MVP, prototyping and de-risking before engineering involvement, measuring impact, and scaling features into a seamlessly integrated part of the WelcomeHome CRM experience.

This role is fully remote, with occasional travel required to co-locate with product and development teams (most often at our Atlanta HQ).

The Responsibilities:

Define AI product strategy & priorities

  • Identify where AI meaningfully differentiates our products, translating technical capabilities into clear business impact
  • Make clear recommendations on where to invest, and where not to
  • Align leadership on product-related AI opportunities, tradeoffs, and risks
  • Identify risks related to accuracy, bias, and user trust
  • Push back when ideas are unlikely to deliver value

Establish how we build AI products and features

  • Build data-driven frameworks for evaluating AI outputs and performance, for both new features and ongoing maintenance of existing products
  • Define and uphold acceptable quality thresholds and guardrails, including quantitative accuracy and precision requirements
  • Introduce lightweight processes for experimentation, iteration, and improvement
  • Help the product team develop a consistent approach to AI feature development

Lead 0 to 1 product initiatives

  • Turn ambiguous ideas and problems into clear, testable opportunities
  • Rapidly prototype and validate concepts using AI tools — LLMs, APIs, no/low-code tools, and Python scripts
  • Own the technical scoping of an AI feature: data inputs, prompt design, model selection, API dependencies, and what engineering needs to ship it to production
  • Work alongside engineering from early in the process to get an idea to "80% there" together — including working prototypes, evals, and a clear spec — so the path to production is defined collaboratively, not handed off
  • Contribute directly to early implementation where speed and product intuition matter most

Drive efficient, high-impact delivery

  • Define lean, high-value MVPs with clear success criteria
  • Partner with engineering to ship solutions that balance speed, quality, and scalability
  • Make build vs. buy vs. partner decisions to minimize lift, working with WelcomeHome's Compliance and Legal departments to ensure appropriate technical and compliance safeguards are in place
  • Give a clear verdict on a rough idea — "yes and here's what it takes," "not yet but if we invest in X we can," or "no and here's why" — with enough specificity that product and engineering can act on it

A great candidate might have:

  • A strong technical foundation: CS or statistics background, prior engineering experience, or equivalent hands-on depth
  • At least 2 years working closely with engineering teams to build and launch technology products
  • Proven experience shipping AI-powered products or features, including hands-on work with LLMs, APIs, and agent-based systems
  • Working proficiency in Python or a similar language, comfortable enough to build and iterate without support
  • Strong fluency in data analysis, experimentation frameworks, and API-driven development
  • Track record of owning ambiguous or uncharted product areas and taking them to launch
  • Strong understanding of how AI systems behave, including a healthy skepticism about their limitations and necessary tradeoffs
  • Familiarity with prompt design, evaluation methods, and AI tooling ecosystems
  • A penchant for sweating the details

What You'll Get

WelcomeHome strives to provide a competitive compensation package. Benefits include health, vision and dental coverage, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO.

But, on top of that, you'll be surrounded by awesome people who care deeply about what they do and will do whatever it takes to help you succeed.
