Job Role: Digital Marketing Specialist

Compensation range: $2,500 AUD - $3,500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you'll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: The client is an Australian fintech platform helping SMEs navigate the commercial lending market. Through their intelligent lending platform and lending matching engine (Cashper), businesses can quickly match their financial profile against a curated library of products across term loans, lines of credit, invoice finance, trade finance, and more. The business is at a growth inflection point, with multiple websites soon to be in market and a clear need to build digital presence and organic reach.

Role Overview: The client is looking for a hands-on Digital Marketing Specialist who can take ownership of website management and dramatically enhance organisational SEO capabilities across two to three sites, while also supporting content creation for blogs, LinkedIn posts, and email/CRM communications. This is an execution-focused role with room to contribute to strategy, the right person will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done.

Key Responsibilities:


Website Management & SEO

  • Manage and optimise two to three WordPress / Vercel websites on an ongoing basis
  • Conduct technical SEO audits and implement on-page optimisations (meta tags, site structure, keyword mapping)
  • Build and execute a backlink/link-building strategy through guest posts and outreach
  • Monitor site health, rankings and performance using tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar
  • Optimise traffic connections with chatbots and other engagement tech and client support options
  • Ensure content is structured to support organic search growth in the commercial lending/fintech space


Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Write and publish SEO-optimised blog articles that build category authority in business finance, best lending practice and commercial lending know how
  • Work with founders to capture brand voice and translate ideas into compelling written content
  • Use AI tools effectively to scale content production while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Build and maintain a content calendar aligned to SEO strategy and audience segments


Email & CRM Communications

  • Develop and execute email campaigns to the existing customer base
  • Strategise and execute engaging content to a large database of former leads and customers, working with stakeholders to send appropriate communications matching personas
  • Collaborate with an internal admin who manages CRM setup and sends; your focus is on messaging, frequency and strategy
  • Build content for the best trigger comms supporting automated client journeys
  • Write clear, value-driven communications that align with Trade Funding's brand and product positioning


Requirements


What We're Looking For


Must-Have

  • 3-5+ years of experience in digital marketing with a strong Website Management and SEO focus
  • Proven WordPress website management experience
  • Solid understanding and application of technical SEO and content SEO principles
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, etc.)
  • Strong written English — clear, professional, and brand-aware copy
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support and accelerate content production
  • Autonomous and proactive — can manage workload independently


Highly Regarded

  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, financial services or B2B content
  • Link-building experience (guest posting, outreach, digital PR)
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and CRM systems - Zoho a bonus
  • Experience managing multiple websites simultaneously


Working Arrangement

This is a remote, independent contractor role based in the Philippines. The team is based in Sydney (AEST). You'll be expected to maintain reasonable overlap with business hours, manage your own schedule, and deliver to agreed outcomes and deadlines.
