Maintain responsibility for implementing and maintaining one or more complex databases
Analyze the design, development, and delivery or implementation of data solutions, including architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof of concept, analysis of the development of standards, design, and test plans, code, module design development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques, and development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution
Assist with the planning and engineering of the organization's databases
Monitor performance, scalability, and security and evaluate existing database design to determine the necessary updates and integration requirements of a new design and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs

Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in supporting complex Oracle database systems. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing databases to ensure high performance, security, and scalability. Your expertise will help shape data solutions that meet organizational needs and support critical business operations. Responsibilities

  • Maintain responsibility for implementing and maintaining one or more complex databases
  • Analyze the design, development, and delivery or implementation of data solutions, including architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof of concept, analysis of the development of standards, design, and test plans, code, module design development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques, and development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution

Location:

This is a fully remote position open to candidates located anywhere in the United States, including the District of Columbia.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a DBA on an Oracle System is a must-have
  • Experience supporting Linux Systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration
  • Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports to retrieve required data
  • Experience with database schema as code tools
  • Knowledge of database partitioning and microservices
  • Experience with configuring, integrating, and securing database offerings such as RDS, Aurora, Cassandra, and DynamoDB
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and administration of Oracle databases
