The Senior Director, Marketing will lead Mindgruve’s brand marketing, industry presence, and demand generation efforts. This role is responsible for building category awareness, elevating thought leadership, and driving qualified pipeline growth through integrated marketing programs including content, PR, events, trade shows, awards, and digital campaigns.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong agency-side credibility, ideally from a holding company media agency or large independent agency, with a deep understanding of how enterprise brands evaluate and select strategic marketing partners.
What You'll Do Here:
Brand & Thought Leadership
- Develop and execute Mindgruve’s brand positioning and awareness strategy across the U.S. market
- Build a consistent executive and company thought leadership program across media, commerce, and marketing analytics
- Partner with leadership to define narrative themes aligned to industry trends (AI, commerce media, data-driven marketing, etc.)
- Drive content strategy including white papers, case studies, executive POVs, and research insights
- Own marketing-led pipeline contribution and lead generation programs
- Design and execute integrated campaigns targeting enterprise consumer brand decision-makers
- Partner closely with Business Development to align marketing efforts with revenue priorities
- Optimize funnel performance across digital, paid media, email, and events

- Lead strategy and execution for industry conferences, trade shows, and executive events
- Manage sponsorship strategy, booth presence, speaking opportunities, and event ROI
- Build executive visibility through panels, keynote opportunities, and industry participation
- Drive awards strategy across media, creative, commerce, and data disciplines
- Manage submissions and storytelling for Cannes Lions, Effies, Webby Awards, and industry-specific recognitions
- Position Mindgruve’s work for maximum industry credibility and visibility
- Manage external communications strategy including agency PR partners where applicable
- Develop proactive media outreach strategy to elevate Mindgruve leadership and client work
- Oversee press releases, announcements, and earned media opportunities

- Partner with Sales, Strategy, Creative, and Analytics teams to align messaging with capabilities
- Collaborate with executive leadership to refine go-to-market positioning
- Establish marketing performance tracking and reporting against pipeline and brand KPIs
- 10-12+ years of experience in marketing, brand, or growth roles within: holding company media agencies, or large independent media or integrated agencies
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proven track record of successfully building a marketing agency services or marketing technology solutions to enterprise brands
- Strong background in B2B marketing, demand generation, or integrated marketing communications
- Experience managing industry events, trade shows, and sponsorship programs
- Demonstrated success building thought leadership and executive visibility programs
- Deep understanding of agency ecosystems, pitch dynamics, and enterprise client decision-making
- Experience marketing AI, martech, adtech, or data-driven marketing services
- Existing relationships within the agency and enterprise marketing ecosystem
- Background supporting or collaborating with new business / sales teams
- Experience scaling marketing programs in high-growth agency environments
- Strategic brand storytelling and positioning
- Performance-oriented marketing mindset (pipeline + brand balance)
- Strong writing, messaging, and content development skills
- Ability to operate across creative, media, and data-driven marketing disciplines
- High attention to detail with strong execution discipline
- Executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership
- Capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 (Pay range is based on a market reference point and potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, experience and geographic location of the individual candidate. The compensation range reflects base rate only.)
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance; a flexible spending account; voluntary life and accident plans; and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching. We have six office locations in the US: San Diego, California, Los Angeles, California, Covington, Kentucky, Denver, Colorado, Nashville, Tennessee and Charleston, South Carolina. We're seeking local candidates (or those open to relocation) who are able to work collaboratively with us in one of our office's; however, based on business needs and unique job functions, some roles may be eligible for remote work. (Bonus points if you’re bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese.)
