SKILLS REQUIRED

Primary (Must-Have):

✔️15+ years of extensive experience in IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Asset Management systems

✔️Strong experience in IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) installation, configuration, and upgrades (Specifically MAS 9.1.x/MAS 9)

✔️Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP / ROSA / ARO)

✔️Proven expertise in Database administration and migration with Oracle

✔️Deep technical capability with MAS CLI, entitlement keys, license configuration, Integrity Checker, and ConfigDB

✔️Practical knowledge of SSL certificates, LDAP/AD setup, SMTP, and complex application integrations

✔️Solid baseline in Linux administration and container fundamentals (Docker/Podman)

Secondary (Good to Have):

✔️Experience supporting automated MAS installations using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitOps-based workflows)

✔️Familiarity with Validation (IQ/OQ) activities within a regulated environment

✔️Strong documentation skills for engineering installation runbooks and upgrade approach documents

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Elite Senior Maximo OpenShift Engineer with 15+ years of experience to drive a critical enterprise upgrade initiative in a fully remote capacity. This role centers on the technical execution, installation, and deployment of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.1.x on Red Hat OpenShift clusters. The successful candidate will lead infrastructure readiness validation, database compatibility, and complex Maximo 7.6.x to MAS 9.1.x upgrade pathways while standardizing deployment frameworks across the organization.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

✔️Install and configure IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.1.x components, including MAS Core and Maximo Manage, across Red Hat OpenShift clusters (on-prem or cloud)

✔️Prepare and validate infrastructure readiness, encompassing OpenShift cluster sizing, storage classes (RWO/RWX), networking, ingress, and security certificates

✔️Plan and execute comprehensive Maximo 7.6.x → MAS 9.1.x upgrade pathways, performing critical pre-upgrade activities including Integrity Checker execution (report & repair modes) along with SMP and DB compatibility validation

✔️Execute MAS and Manage upgrades, completing vital post-upgrade operations like ConfigDB execution, validation testing, and direct defect remediation

✔️Troubleshoot complex MAS, OpenShift, database, and integration bottlenecks during deployment, while supporting automated MAS installations via GitOps workflows and GitHub Actions

✔️Lead system testing, SIT, UAT, and Validation (IQ/OQ) processes alongside cutover planning, go-live execution, hypercare support, and the creation of standardized installation runbooks
