About Fotello

Fotello is the AI operating system for real estate media. Booking, editing, delivery, payments, property websites, agent portals, every workflow a creator depends on runs on us.

Small team out of IIT, UBC, AWS, and Angi, based in Vancouver and Gurgaon. Bootstrapped. Profitable. The default platform in our category. Millions of media files processed daily. Thousands of paying customers across North America, the UK, and ANZ.


The Role

We ship constantly, new AI engines, virtual staging, twilight, property websites, API. This is the first product hire outside the founding team.

You won't get a road map, a process, or a manager who shields you. You'll get thrown into the deep end, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders. We own the big bets and the direction. You own making them real, talking to customers, writing the spec, getting it shipped with Eng and design, and watching whether it actually gets used.

You'll start by owning execution. As you prove your judgement, you'll own more of what we build and why. How fast that happens is up to you.

This is the best training in product you can get, and it's brutal. You'll learn by doing the work with direct, unfiltered founder feedback, not by shadowing a senior PM. If that's the version of yourself you're trying to build, this is the place. If you want structure and a mentor handing you a development plan, it isn't.


What you'll own

  • Discovery. You'll talk to photographers and agents every week without being told to. You'll bring back the real workflow and the real friction, and separate what customers say from what the data shows.
  • Execution, end-to-end. Write specs sharp enough that eng and design don't need a meeting to decode them. Run the build. Sweat the in-product details. Ship.
  • A growing slice of the road map. You start executing the founders' priorities. You earn the right to set them, surface by surface, faster than you'd get anywhere else.
  • The numbers. Live in PostHog and Stripe. Form a hypothesis, define the metric, run the test, and read the result honestly, including when it kills your own idea.
  • Adoption, from the product side. When a feature under performs on usage, figure out whether the fix is the product or the message, own the product half, and report what you shipped and what it moved.


What we're looking for

  • 1–2 years of work experience, PM, founding/early-team, or a builder role — or an exceptional new grad who can prove the rest.
  • Evidence of agency. You've built or shipped something nobody asked you to. In your application, tell us what it was and what happened.
  • You write clearly and specifically. We'll ask for a writing sample and read it carefully.
  • You're comfortable being wrong fast and changing your mind on data.
  • You want to be excellent and you're impatient about getting there.
  • Bonus: you've built for creators, photographers, SMBs, or prosumers — or you're one yourself.


What this role is not

  • Not a backlog manager or ticket groomer.
  • Not a place for someone who needs structure, a brief, or hand-holding.
