About The Role

Attention IT professionals with a passion for healthcare! We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Clinical Systems Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site and telephone-based support to troubleshoot clinical system issues and support day-to-day operations. You will also participate in an on-call roster to ensure that support is available 24/7.

In addition to providing support, you will have the opportunity to develop, contribute to, and assist in the implementation of new and revised software, policies, procedures, communication plans, and business plans. You will ensure adherence to established standards, processes, and procedures for system implementation and management, and be involved in acceptance testing for new or changed software versions. You will analyse changing user needs for future modifications and enhancements, and liaise with the system vendor to conduct repairs, upgrades, and resolve software-related problems.

You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement enhanced reporting capabilities and produce reports and complete data analysis to meet audit, clinical trial, and research requirements. Furthermore, you will lead the provision of education and training both remotely and on-site to ensure the ongoing development of clinical systems competency in relation to the delivery of safe and quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be supported be a dedicated team within ICT Services. The team cross skills in multiple information systems so as to provide backup support and assistance across those systems. About Us

The ICT Services Team provides information and technology support to the district for clinical systems, desktop services, solution development, Telehealth, cyber security, privacy and project management for IT solutions. Within ICT Services, the Clinical Systems Team provides clinical application support and management for HNE’s core clinical systems such as CAP (EMR), iPM, MedChart and eRIC.

HNELHD is the lead site for the NSW Health Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR). Joining the ICT team will enable you to be part of one of the largest transformations to Digital Health. Join a supportive and collaborative team who are driven to provide excellence for every patient, every time.

Where You'll Be Working

This role is based onsite at our modern offices in Charlestown, close to Charlestown Square Shopping Centre. Just outside of Newcastle, Charlestown is just minutes from the coast and under an hour from the beautiful Hunter Valley region.

About You

You are a dynamic, enthusiastic and energetic with excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, good computer literacy and be highly organised. You will be able to build excellent rapport with stakeholders and fellow team members.
