Founding Full-Stack Engineer

A well-funded early-stage startup is hiring a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to help shape both product and engineering culture from the ground up. This is a high-impact, on-site role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and wants meaningful ownership.

Your Role

You will own product development end to end, building core platform experiences that power the next generation of financial execution. From user-facing workflows to agent-driven systems and asset class integrations, this role blends technical leadership, product judgment, and hands-on engineering.

What You'll Do

▪️ Ship the product surface end to end, taking ideas from early founder sketches into flows real users rely on across chat, artifact panes, strategy execution, and feedback loops

▪️ Bring the best engineering practices you have seen before, including code review norms, shipping protocols, and ways of moving quickly without breaking critical systems

▪️ Hunt your own scope by identifying what the product needs next, proposing it, and using strong judgment to decide what should be built

▪️ Own multiple projects from genesis to completion, working with direction rather than a fixed queue and bringing in help where needed

Representative Projects (First Six Months)

▪️ Rebuild the chat interface, moving from one-shot workflow generation into a chat-first experience with artifact panes

▪️ Ship the strategy execution layer that takes agent-generated strategies live across multiple financial venues and platforms

▪️ Add and integrate new asset classes into the platform's natural language execution layer

What You Bring

▪️ 5+ years of experience as a software engineer within high-performing startup or technology environments

▪️ Strong full-stack development experience with modern web technologies and scalable backend systems

▪️ Hands-on expertise with TypeScript and Python

▪️ Experience taking products from concept to production with significant ownership and autonomy

▪️ Strong product intuition and the ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous environments

▪️ Ability to balance speed, quality, and long-term technical considerations

▪️ Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems

▪️ Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments with significant responsibility
