Job Description
Innovien is supporting a full, ground up rebuild of an enterprise network and the modernization of how it is architected and operated. We're hiring a Director of Network and Unified Communications to own the entire network and set the direction for the effort end to end. The network grew over years without a unified strategy, and the budget, executive mandate, and runway are now in place to fix it. This is a strategy first role with the autonomy to shape the organization your way, and technical credibility is essential.
What You'll Do
- Lead the network rebuild from a blank slate, owning architecture, design, standards, and sequencing
- Define and own the colocation (COLO) connectivity strategy, including redundancy, vendor selection, and ongoing operations
- Build a technical debt elimination strategy and assess Network as a Service (NaaS) for the LAN and wireless layers, delivering a formal recommendation within the first year
- Mature the managed service provider (MSP) engagement model and own all network and telecom operations globally, including WAN, LAN, wireless, VoIP, SIP trunking, soft phones, mobility, and DDoS
- Inherit and restructure the team, and deliver executive level reporting on progress, operational health, and cost outcomes
