About GeneHub

GeneHub is a patient-controlled DataBank for rare diseases. It empowers patients by allowing them to store their clinico-genomic data and control who can access it. By providing better visibility and control over their data, GeneHub aims to accelerate pathways to personalised medicine for rare disease patients and reduce the economic burden on the healthcare system.

Collaborative analysis of patient data is enabled within secure data clean rooms, maintaining data encryption and anonymity through confidential computing. We’re looking for a passionate developer to join our small, cross-functional team.

GeneHub is a venture-backed HealthTech startup founded in late 2022. Follow-on funding has been secured to develop our technology, presenting a game-changing opportunity in healthcare. 

Our tech stack

You will be working with these tools and technologies:

• ReactJS web application.
• TypeScript to ensure end-to-end type-safety
• MySQL and AWS S3 for persistent data storage
• AWS CDK to develop and deploy changes to our infrastructure
• GitHub and GitHub Actions for our CI/CD workflows

Your role

As part of GeneHub, you will collaborate with our founders and engineering management to research, architect and develop new features for our applications.

We are constantly breaking new ground and experimenting with technologies to solve complex problems in the simplest possible way, taking an iterative approach. We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about learning new things and challenging yourself! 

We do not ask for formal qualifications or degree requirements.

You should apply if

The interview process

Our interview process involves three main stages:

• Screening call
• Pair coding exercise and system design interview
• Behavioural interview

We expect the process to take 1-2 weeks, and we’ll do our best to work around your availability.

During the process, you will have the chance to speak with our founders and head of technology, but if you have any specific questions or want to discuss reasonable adjustments ahead of time, please feel free to include those in your application.
