We are looking for an enthusiastic SEM Specialist to help us in our overall marketing efforts. You will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product and services promotion. SEM Specialist should be a competent professional able to grasp consumer behavior trends and generate creative ideas. You should also be well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles, and tactics. The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that will help our reputation and growth through creative content and digital ads campaign.

 

What you'll do

  • Plan, launch, and optimise paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads) across search, display, and Performance Max.
  • Conduct keyword research, audience segmentation, and competitor analysis to inform bidding strategies.
  • Write and A/B test ad copy and landing page messaging in collaboration with the content team.
  • Manage campaign budgets and report on key KPIs such as CPC, CPA, ROAS, CTR, and conversion rate.
  • Implement tracking using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4; ensure attribution accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Quality Scores, reduce wasted spend, and scale high-performing campaigns.
  • Present weekly and monthly performance reports with clear insights and recommended actions.
  • Stay current on paid search trends, platform updates, and AI-powered bidding capabilities.

 

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on SEM / paid search experience, ideally in a B2B or technology company.
  • Proven track record managing monthly ad spend.
  • Proficiency with SEMrush Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Data Studio / Looker Studio.
  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable pulling data, spotting trends, and translating them into actions.
  • Solid copywriting skills with experience testing ad creatives.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and how organic and paid search interact.
  • Good command of English for campaign copy and stakeholder reporting.

 

Nice to have

  • Experience running SEM campaigns targeting the Australian or broader APAC market. 
  • Google Ads certification (Search, Display, or Performance Max) preferred.
  • Exposure to LinkedIn Ads or Meta Ads as a complement to paid search.
