About The Role
We are seeking a strategic and market-savvy Product Marketing Manager to support the growth of our life insurance and annuity business. This role is responsible for partnering with product development and cross-functional teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that resonate with financial professionals, distribution partners, and end consumers.
The ideal candidate understands the unique dynamics of the insurance and retirement marketplace and can translate complex product features into clear, compelling value propositions that support distribution success and advisor engagement.
What You’ll Do
Product Positioning & Go-to-Market Strategy
- Develop differentiated positioning and messaging for life insurance and annuity products across key audiences, including advisors, agents, distributors, and consumers
- Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, enhancements, and promotional campaigns
- Partner with Product, Sales, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure accurate, aligned, and effective messaging
- Translate technical product features—such as riders, guarantees, income benefits, and accumulation strategies—into clear, client-friendly communications
- Lead the creation and maintenance of sales enablement materials including product guides, competitive comparisons, presentations, FAQs, and training materials
- Support development of marketing content across channels including digital campaigns, webinars, websites, brochures, and thought leadership initiatives
- Collaborate with distribution and field teams to improve advisor adoption, sales effectiveness, and product understanding
- Ensure all materials align with regulatory, compliance, and brand standards
- Partner with competitive intelligence to identify market trends, opportunities, and evolving distributor and customer needs
- Support product positioning refinement and marketing strategies based on competitive and market insights
- Contribute to differentiated messaging and sales strategies through informed market perspectives

- Track and analyze product launch performance, product adoption, and campaign engagement
- Evaluate effectiveness of positioning and messaging across advisor and consumer audiences
- Leverage data and feedback to optimize marketing strategies and improve outcomes
- Leverage marketing technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve campaign execution, content development, audience targeting, and workflow efficiency
- Contribute to continuous improvement of marketing processes, tools, and team capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing within financial services, insurance, retirement, or wealth management
- Strong understanding of life insurance and annuity products and their role in protection, accumulation, and retirement planning
- Experience creating marketing content for financial professionals, distribution partners, or regulated financial products
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, persuasive messaging
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Product, Sales, Compliance, and Legal teams
- Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities

- Experience in the life insurance, annuity, or broader retirement solutions market
- Familiarity with independent distribution, broker-dealers, banks, IMOs, or other insurance distribution channels
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations in insurance marketing
- Familiarity with relevant marketing technology platforms and experience using AI tools to support content creation, campaign optimization, analytics, and operational efficiency
- FINRA or insurance industry coursework/designations are a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with marketing technology platforms, digital campaign tools, and content management systems
- Familiarity with analytics tools and marketing performance tracking
