Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a C++ Systems Software Engineer to work on a full-time basis. This individual will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and extending high-performance, secure system software in C/C++, integrating with open-source projects, and supporting infrastructure for AI-driven software engineering systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on building the backend stack for model training and evaluation pipelines that support intelligent systems, making a significant impact in the technology industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and extend high-performance, secure system software in C/C++, ensuring reliability and scalability.

• Integrate and work with open-source projects such as OpenSSL, FFmpeg, glibc, systemd, and tcpdump to support AI-driven software engineering systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system-level libraries and tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert-level support for system software development.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall quality of the codebase, adhering to industry-standard best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages, with a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.

• Experience with open-source projects such as OpenSSL, FFmpeg, glibc, systemd, and tcpdump, and ability to integrate them into larger systems.

• Strong understanding of system-level programming, including operating system internals, networking, and storage systems.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, and experience with shell scripting and automation.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.
