An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly team as a Clerical Officer, based within the Women's Health Directorate.

The Maternity Records Team is the Hub of the Maternity Department where you will liaise with a wide range of professionals and patients. You will be required to work on the Antenatal Clinic Reception and within the Maternity Records Office. This position is based at York Hospital, part of our York and Scarborough Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Work is varied, challenging, and accuracy is essential. You will need to have excellent communication skills and experience using Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook. You must be effective in prioritising workloads, with a flexible and patient centred approach.

The post holder will provide support to the Obstetrics team by working closely with the Midwives & contributing to an efficient and effective service within a very busy environment.

You will work with clear departmental and national procedures, and have responsibility for receiving, maintaining and providing manual and electronic data, often containing sensitive and confidential information. Making patient appointments and updating records via Badgernet, as well as managing an internal scan diary system called Soliton.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently using your own initiative as well as part of the wider team in the Maternity Department.
