Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Fully Remote

Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)

Pay Rate: £300 - £350 per day

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and security
  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Ensure robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems are in place
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and reliability

DevOps Key Skills required:

  • 5+ years in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps Engineer role
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • RabbitMQ, Kafka and Postgresql
  • Python scripting
  • Configuration management tools e.g Ansible, Terraform, YAML
  • Git, Github Actions, Jenkins

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
