Software Test Engineer in Telecom in NETHERLANDS

NB: For this role, we can only consider testers who are already located in the Netherlands, and who carry an EU citizenship, or a spouse-dependent visa as we cannot offer visa sponsorship or relocation.

Are you an experienced software tester interested in working on cutting-edge software solutions for telecommunications networks? We are representing a client with a great product in the telecommunications industry. Their biggest challenge lies in optimizing their software solutions for maximum performance and scalability in evolving network environments. Because of this, we are looking for a software tester with specific telecom domain knowledge.

I'm looking for someone who:

• Holds a BS degree in Telecoms, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field of study.
• Possesses ISTQB or similar testing certifications.
• Has a minimum of 5 years' experience as a test engineer within the telecommunications industry or a related field.
• Has at least 3 years of experience utilizing Cypress for automating web applications.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of telecommunications concepts, including networks, protocols, and telephony systems.
• Is skilled in working with network protocols such as TCP/IP, Diameter, HTTP, SS7, and SCTP, including the ability to analyze network traces.
• Is knowledgeable about 3GPP and IETF protocol standards, along with SNMP and Network Management Systems.
• Brings hands-on experience in test planning, designing test cases, executing tests, tracking defects, and reporting.
• Is proficient in using test management and automation tools like Cypress, Jenkins, Jest, and Python.
• Capable of setting up test environments for planned testing activities.
• Exhibits strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Communicates effectively and works well in cross-functional teams.
• Takes initiative and has a proactive, positive approach to solving problems and fostering innovation.

• Developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts.
• Conducting various automated testing activities, including functional, regression, system, and integration testing.
• Reporting and documenting software defects and inconsistencies clearly and accurately.
