2. About the Opportunity:


The Senior Machine Learning Engineer role focuses on designing and deploying advanced machine learning solutions for retrieval, classification, and generative AI applications within clinical data contexts. The position plays a key role in translating healthcare challenges into scalable, production-ready AI systems that support product, leadership, and clinical operations teams, contributing strategic and operational problem-solving in a mission-driven environment.


3. Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning algorithms for retrieval, classification, and generative use cases.


• Analyze large datasets using advanced techniques to generate insights, simulations, visualizations, and business narratives.


• Build reliable and scalable production machine learning systems.


• Write and maintain reusable codebases for data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.


• Guide junior engineers on software and machine learning best practices.


• Collaborate with product managers, clinicians, and technical leadership to align ML solutions with core objectives.


4. Requirements:


• 5+ years of applied machine learning experience in industry.


• Master''s degree in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, or related field.


• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.


• Experience with generative AI and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).


• Preferred experience working with healthcare data.


• Strong understanding of model building, maintenance, and optimization for production.


• Ability to design experiments and independently collect, measure, and interpret results.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:


• Salary range: $135,000 to $170,000 annually.


• Total benefits package includes health insurance, 401(k) with company match, and bonus.
