The Role...
This is a customer facing Project Engineering role, focussed on implementing innovative Cloud + Infrastructure solutions to meet complex business needs. You'll use your experience of having worked in the IT Service / IT Consultancy space, and in-depth knowledge of enterprise Cloud + Infrastructure solutions, to drive customers on their transformation journey.
- Work closely with Technical Architects to understand the design decision making process behind each solutions
- Build and implement solutions for offshore financial service organisations and global enterprises that align to best practices.
- Implement and deliver Server and Storage Infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Cloud (Azure, M365, AVD), Server Infrastructure and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure
- Support customers as a technical escalation point.
You'll have least 3 years experience in a customer facing consultancy role, working with enterprise organisations to scope, design and implement:
Cloud Infrastructure Skills
Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency in deploying and managing Azure services (e.g., VMs, Azure AD, Azure Backup)
- Azure Networking (e.g., Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway)
- Azure Storage solutions (e.g., Blob Storage, Azure Files, Disk Storage)
- Azure Governance and management tools (e.g., Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center)
Microsoft 365 (M365)
- Implementation and management of M365 services (e.g., Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams)
- Security and compliance in M365 (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Compliance Center)
- Integration of M365 with on-premises infrastructure
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Design, deployment, and management of AVD environments
- User profile management and optimization (e.g., FSLogix)
- AVD security and compliance best practices
Server and Storage Infrastructure Skills
Server Infrastructure
- Proficiency in deploying and managing Windows Server and Linux environments
- Virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware vSphere)
- Active Directory design and management
- Server clustering and high availability solutions
Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI)
- Deployment and management of HCI solutions (e.g., Azure Stack HCI, Nutanix, VMware vSAN)
- Understanding of HCI architecture and best practices
- Integration of HCI with cloud and on-premises environments
Storage Infrastructure
- SAN, NAS, and DAS storage solutions
- Storage replication and disaster recovery
- Storage performance tuning and optimization
Technical Escalation Support Skills
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for cloud and on-premises environments
- Root cause analysis and resolution
- Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, SolarWinds)
Customer Support and Communication
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in handling and resolving high-severity incidents
