Better Placed Technology have partnered with a Microsoft backed stealth business founded in Silicon valley as they begin hiring their UK based team.

The founding team is composed of industry leaders and innovators taken from some of the best-known tech businesses on the globe. They’re working on cutting edge technologies that are revolutionizing the AI landscape. This role is fully remote, but it would be good if you are open to travelling to Silicon Valley 1-2 times per year for collaboration.

The Job

This role involves ensuring the security of AI web applications, both front-end and back-end, creating and maintaining security policies, conducting penetration testing, and assisting the quality assurance team. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding products and infrastructure against potential threats.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Penetration testing and other security testing measures
• Knowledge of best practice, particularly around security for web apps and APIs
• Experience of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, OWASP etc
• Network Security experience
• Experience of securing CI/CD pipelines and integrating security into development workflows
• Any experience with automated security testing tools as this role blends security and testing
• Certifications such as CISSP

Day to Day

• Develop and implement security measures for both front-end and back-end applications.
• Create, review, and update security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular penetration testing to identify and address vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the QA team to integrate security testing into the development
• lifecycle.
• Assist in the development and execution of security training programs for staff.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and
• remediation.
