Job Summary: Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Development teams to support and enhance our data operations. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing database schemas, writing complex SQL queries, and developing stored procedures to ensure efficient data handling and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Work Schedule: Available to work from 8 AM to 5 PM EST.
Business Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of business operations, surveys, and reporting requirements to effectively support data-driven decision-making.
Internal Support: Provide expert assistance for internal team inquiries related to data and reports, addressing any issues or questions promptly.
Documentation: Accurately document existing scoring and reporting logic to ensure clarity and consistency across data operations.
Database Development: Utilize scoring specifications and algorithms to create and maintain database views, materialized views, and stored procedures that accurately score and analyze survey results.
Query Optimization: Optimize SQL queries for performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
High-Performance Queries: Develop high-performance queries or views to support report designers in integrating and presenting data effectively.
Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and quality control processes.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with the Product and Development teams to resolve data-related issues and implement new functionalities.
Server Administration: While server administration is not a core responsibility, familiarity with it is considered a valuable asset.
Requirements
Excellent English: Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Experience with Large Databases: Comfortable working with large-scale databases, including those with 150+ tables and 100 million records, ensuring efficient data management and query performance.
Query Optimization: Proven ability to optimize SQL queries using techniques such as indexing, analyzing EXPLAIN output, and applying other performance-enhancing strategies.
SQL Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in SQL, including advanced query writing, database management, and performance tuning.
