Job Title: Storage Specialist
Work location: 100% Remote
Workload: Fulltime
Project description:
Management and optimization of backend storage systems, including hard disks, SSDs and disk arrays. Configuration and monitoring of SANs (Storage Area Networks) using processors and switches. Integration of NAS systems into existing networks. Experience with IBM SVC (SAN Volume Controller) for storage virtualization and optimization. Scaling and customization of storage resources as needed. Storage performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Communication with internal teams and external partners.
Must haves:
- Knowledge of Red Hat Unix (version 7, 8, 9) and Veritas clusters.
- German language skills at a fluent level.
- Certifications in the area of storage (e.g. IBM SVC).
- Ideally experience with cloud integration and virtualization.
- Expert: SAN (procate switch) net up (NAS systems) IBM SVC environment virtualisation (SVC solution).
- Hands-on/ pro active mentality.
