An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Systems Administrator to work within the College of Science and Engineering on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will report to the Infrastructure Lead and is responsible to oversee, manage and maintain the Colleges IT infrastructure, specifically to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, including servers, storage, networks, and security.
As well as being involved in the normal operations for the infrastructure and data centres, the postholder will also play a key role in the implementation of new working practices through development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), IT work-packages, server upgrades and vulnerability/patch management.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and offered on an open ended basis. Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
