Due to the high demand for our services and for the expertise of our exceptional team, we’re growing, and currently searching for a Manager of Administration to support our day-to-day finance, human resources and administrative activities.

More About the Position:


Compensation and Benefits:


  • Full-time permanent role.
  • Starting salary of $82,500 per year plus the yearly Northern Allowance of $16,008.
  • Northern Employees Benefits Service (NEBS) which includes health insurance and pension plan.
  • Six weeks vacation.

Key Responsibilities Include:


Finance and Fundraising


  • Manage financial administration, including banking, accounts payable, receivable, payroll accuracy, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with third-party bookkeeper for financial oversight and audit preparation.
  • Manage corporate expenditures and oversee procurement processes.


Corporate and Administration


  • Support the Executive Team with Board and stakeholder reports.
  • Manage office operations, IT, records, compliance, and licensing.
  • Ensure ethical practices, compliance with regulations, and health and safety standards.


Human Resources


  • Oversees the administration of Employee Benefits, Pension programs, HRIS system, and records.
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training oversight, and regulatory compliance.
  • Track and report on internal HR milestones.


Staff & People Leadership


  • Supports and supervises Administrative Coordinator.
  • Collaborates with remote contracted staff (Bookkeeper and HR Consultant).
  • Provide orientation, training, supervision, coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Implement work plans aligned with service delivery goals and agency standards.
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Key Qualifications:


  • Three years of administration management experience.
  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Non-Profit Administration, Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, labour standards, privacy laws, and financial management.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage transactions accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Superior attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Office Suite, Ceridian/Dayforce, Yardi, QuickBooks, and e-Payment Systems.
  • Experience with digital platforms and creating audio-visual presentations.
  • Ability to communicate in Inuktut is a strong asset.
