• Position: Partner/Quant Crypto Trader Lead at Investment Firm
• Location: Remote
• Stage of the company: Early Stage.
• Compensation: At the moment nobody is receiving any compensation, do not expect any money any time soon, as mentioned we are in early stages. Compensation will be in the form of performance-based incentives & profit sharing.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Finex Capital aims to be an innovative investment management firm that generates consistent returns for its investors with unique investment opportunities. To achieve this goal we have developed a strategic and long term plan that not only will help us build a broad and solid network. But, also generate revenue doing so. We would specialize in Trading Strategies within the Digital Assets Space first and eventually we would launch other funds that would invest in different asset classes.

As we embark on this journey, we seek a visionary and highly skilled partner to join us as our Quantitative Trading Lead. This role is pivotal in developing and deploying innovative investment strategies across the cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Algorithm Design & Implementation: Develop, implement, and deploy advanced trading algorithms that leverage patterns in market behavior.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market data, market micro-structure, and alternative data sources to identify trading opportunities.
• Feature Engineering & Model Creation: Engineer features and create sophisticated machine learning models to enhance trading strategies.
• Backtesting & Live Trading: Conduct thorough backtesting of trading strategies and compare results with live trading performance to refine approaches.
• Analytical Computations: Contribute to and expand libraries of analytical computations to support market data analysis and trading activities.
• Exchange Simulation: Develop, augment, and calibrate exchange simulators to test and optimize trading strategies.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree from a top-tier university in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• Trading Experience: Proven experience in high-frequency trading (HFT) or quantitative trading, particularly within the cryptocurrency market.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in back-testing, simulation, and statistical techniques such as auto-regression, auto-correlation, and Principal Component Analysis (PCA).
• Data Analysis Skills: Strong data-mining and analysis skills, including experience with large datasets and tick data.
• Modeling Expertise: Familiarity with signal generation and statistical models, with a demonstrated ability to apply these in a trading context.
• Programming Skills: Advanced programming skills in Python and/or C++, with the ability to develop robust trading systems.
• Track Record: A strong track record in HFT, with achievements in Math Olympiads, programming competitions (e.g., ICPC, Codeforces), or as a Kaggle Master or similar distinctions, is highly desirable.
