Suarise aims for equality and accessibility in the digital sector for People with Disability (PwD). You will develop a pilot of the Suarise product (so far we have developed programs and services).
Ba11y is an effort to voice PwD aspiration, involve them continuously and effectively in the development of Indonesian digital products and services, and make the PwD community visible to the world. It is a crowdsource digital accessibility reporting platform, where platform owners (may it companies, government, organisation) can gain data driven review, and collaborate with PwD systematically.

Key Responsibilities:1. Conduct design research studies, particularly copy testing
- Clarify the assigned design project scope, including its goals, requirements, and expectations.
- Collect data on consumers, competitors and market conditions using the most appropriate quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and tools
- Analyse user feedback on the feasibility of UI copy and content performance in the user interface, and recommend refinements and iterations to the design based on usability and concept testing results
2. Craft & implement UI copy and content to deliver design output
- Design and develop Tone of Voice and UX content guidelines.
- Designing and arranging words, sentences, and other writing as part of the UI/UX design for each audience segment
- Create UI copy that is clear, concise, and helpful in guiding the user navigate their way around our digital products, services, and functions within the platform to help them complete the task at hand.
- Liaise with engineers during copy implementation and double check copy implementation during staging prior to product/feature release to ensure the designed copy is completed and implemented accurately.
3. Develop Writing Documentation
- Draft essential documents that will protect the mutual interests of research participants and company
- Compile and process writing for digital product needs including blog posts, promotional content details, push notification text content and so on
- Clarify and manage independent and cross-function documentation
4. Develop material about WCAG as part of writing (in collaboration with content writer)
5. Cross functional collaboration:
- UI/UX designers, UX researchers, to produce quality design work
- UI/UX designer, developer, and accessibility team to produce accessible label and tagging
- UX Researcher to conduct usability and copy testing of prototypes, and secondary research using appropriate methods and tools if required
- Content Writer to align documentation, how to, or any content/article that might useful for product information
- Engineers to ensure accessibility label implement and announce correctly
- PwD (mainly People with Vision impairment [Blind and Low Vision] and Deaf) to ensure understanding of the function and or information given
Minimum Requirement- Minimum 2 years of experience as a UX writer.
- Excellent in Indonesian (verbal and writing) and English communications
- Excellent product copywriting skills.
- Experience writing content for web/mobile products and producing copies for digital product and/or content and/or marketing communications.
- Portfolio that showcases copywriting craft with some level of understanding of the Human Centred Design methodology (along with its methods and tools),
- Strong creative thinking with words and sentences
- Familiar with design tools like Figma is a plus.
- Can switch between working independently and being a team player

- Understand accessibility in correlation of writing output
- Acquainted with WCAG
- Have experience in B2B product

Suarise way of work has always been hourly-based time tracking. For the ba11y (product) team, it will have a daily progress update. We prefer to have a full-time position (40 hours a week). But if you still interested in contributing part-time (20 hours or more), please do apply

- a11yID, the first Indonesian technology community for people with a technology background who want to explore more about digital accessibility. This community is specifically intended for software developers, designers, UX, and academics involved in related topics.
