Job Description:
As a Content Writer, your role will be to write on special topics in the college admissions space. We envision this as a long-term contract role where you’ll have plenty of opportunities to contribute toward the sales and marketing of our business. Key Responsibilities:
· Write blog posts of 2500 words or more based on targeted Google keyword search
· Conduct keyword research research in the on the competitive college admissions industry using Google, Ahrefs, and competitive blogs
· Strong writer who can write amazing content supported by specific examples, numerical data, statistics, and specific names of places, programs, and activities
· Optimize the blog according to technical SEO standards, including metatags, title, h1/h2 tags, keywords, supporting keywords, internal links, and outbound links to drive search traffic
· Willingness to learn and take initiative on different ways to drive traffic with amazing content
· Update our existing blog posts with the latest information
· Previous experience with writing SEO content is required
· Previous experience with Wordpress is a plus, but not necessary
· 100% remote work

· Quickly respond to emails and requests as needed
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Honest, open dialogue, including acknowledging mistakes when they occur and learning from them to continually improve one’s quality of work

· Strong work ethic, high degree of integrity, desire to go above and beyond
· Previous experience with Yoast SEO is a bonus, but not necessary.
