Job Title: Safety Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to manage and lead our team of safety professionals on a significant semiconductor project in Boise, ID. This role involves supporting the electrical scope of work, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and promoting a culture of safety across the project.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the on-site safety team, ensuring team members understand their job duties and expectations.
  • Communicate with teams to ensure adherence to safety practices and processes.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and approve weekly timecards, vacation/PTO schedules.
  • Lead incident reviews on-site and generate necessary reports.
  • Assist construction project teams in developing safety, health, and environmental plans.
  • Participate in pre-bid conferences, walk-throughs, and pre-construction meetings.
  • Maintain regular communication with general contractors and subcontractors, assisting with site reviews and planning.
  • Investigate serious incidents or near-misses with potentially serious consequences.
  • Perform regular site assessments and assemble records of observations, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare summary reports as requested.
  • Develop, promote, and sustain safety-related training in areas such as Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Respiratory Protection, Forklift and Aerial Lift Users, and Confined Space Entry.
  • Respond to emergencies during non-business hours while carrying a cell phone.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of safety management experience on commercial/industrial projects.
  • Experience in electrical construction with an electrical subcontractor, particularly in medium-high voltage.
  • Proficiency in safety management, construction safety, and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local construction safety regulations and NFPA 70E.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with project managers, construction superintendents, and foremen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use data management tools for analyzing construction reporting data.
  • Extensive knowledge and skills related to safe operation of construction sites.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certifications such as CHST, ASP.
  • Leadership experience in a field environment.
  • Experience in the construction industry.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site at the Micron project in Boise, ID, following a 60/60/50 schedule with overtime paid at 1.5x. A company phone or allowance is provided. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. This is an hourly position with competitive compensation. Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $124800.00 - $145600.00/yr.

Company culture is very strong Medical, dental, and vision insurance - if they are covered by spouse company will still pay them a stipend Company paid term life insurance and AD&D coverage 401k retirement plan with employer match and company contribution - up to 10% match PTO accrual of up to 3 weeks, but can start using it right away 7 company paid holidays
