Role Description:
As a RUST Software Engineer, you will spearhead the implementation of an off-chain component for a pioneering hack prevention protocol on EVM chains. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, this role is critical to the development and enhancement of our security infrastructure.
Who Are We Looking For: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer who is passionate about building secure and scalable systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Rust programming and have extensive experience in systems architecture and performance optimisation. Additionally, they should have a strong background in blockchain technologies, particularly EVM chains and Layer 2 solutions. Key attributes and qualifications include:
• Proven Expertise in Rust: You should have a solid track record of developing high- quality software in Rust. Your experience should demonstrate a thorough understanding of the language’s strengths and capabilities, particularly in the context of systems programming and blockchain applications.
• Systems Architecture Proficiency: We are looking for someone who can design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance systems. Your expertise in creating efficient, low-latency architectures will be critical to the success of our security protocols.
• Performance Optimisation Skills: You should have a strong ability to optimise system performance, focusing on databases and networking. Experience with performance tuning and identifying bottlenecks will be essential.
• Blockchain and Crypto Knowledge: Familiarity with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains and Layer 2 (L2) solutions is crucial. You should understand the intricacies of blockchain technologies and have experience integrating these with existing systems.
• API Integration Experience: The role requires hands-on experience with API development and integration. You should be comfortable working with various APIs to ensure seamless communication between different components of our systems.
• Problem-solving abilities: You should be adept at identifying issues and implementing effective solutions. Your problem-solving skills will help drive innovation and maintain the security and efficiency of our protocols.
• Team Collaboration: As this role reports to the Head of Engineering, you must be able to work well in a team environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential.
• Adaptability and Learning: The tech landscape is constantly evolving, and we need someone who is eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Your enthusiasm for continuous improvement will be highly valued.
• Remote Work Capability: While this is a remote position, you should be able to manage your time effectively and stay productive without direct supervision. Previous experience working remotely is a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
• Expertise in Rust: Extensive experience in software development with Rust.
• Systems Architecture: Strong background in designing and developing high-performance, low-latency systems.
• Performance Optimisation: Proficiency in optimising performance for databases and networking.
• Blockchain Experience: Familiarity with EVM chains, Layer 2 systems, and APIs.
