About The Role
Are you a forward thinking and innovative Talent Acquisition Manager motivated by a role where you can make a real impact? Reporting to the Head of Talent, we’re looking to appoint a Talent Acquisition Manager to join our People Team, based at our Nottingham site. The successful candidate will develop and deliver an innovative strategy that supports the business in meeting its people agenda through optimised talent acquisition and maximising opportunities for internal mobility. The individual will also have the unique opportunity to support the integration of Sygnatures recent acquisitions and support in building our global talent acquisition capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and engage the Talent Acquisition team in the delivery of a high-quality end to end recruitment process
- To own and develop the ongoing attraction and talent acquisition strategy for the business which is agile in its approach to adjust with changes to the talent market and business strategy. Working closely with the Business Development Team and Department Heads to link global resource planning to future resourcing strategy
- Proactive coaching and guidance of Talent Acquisition team members ensuring they are competent and confident to undertake their roles
- Development and management of team deliverables and KPI’s, holding the team accountable for performance against them.
- Leading and building in-house direct resourcing capability with team members, including the training of direct approaches of on market and passive candidates and the market mapping of competitors and potential talent pools for direct sourcing opportunities.
- Own and manage the delivery of an effective and efficient end to end recruitment process which supports a positive candidate journey and delivers on Sygnature’s strategic people objectives
- Identify and deliver on opportunities to utilise candidate and process data to continuously improve the effectiveness of all aspects of the recruitment and onboarding process and support Sygnatures ED&I commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement for Talent Acquisition through the effective use of technology and ATS platform, to encourage efficiencies through automation.
- Support the integration of Sygnatures recent acquisitions, building global talent acquisition capabilities to ensure Synatures strategic people objectives are met.
- Delivering high quality internal stakeholder management and engagement to ensure the Talent Acquisition team are providing an effective and efficient service to the business.
- Build strong relationships with departmental and functional leaders and HR Managers to support the Head of Talent in driving development planning, succession planning, and optimising opportunities for internal mobility to drive engagement and business capability resilience.
- To lead and manage the company visa sponsorship process ensuring compliance with home office legislation.
- Develop a talent attraction strategy, segmented by level and population (e.g., Early Careers, Experienced hires, Functions)
- Working with Marketing, developing, and measuring employer brand and brand recognition.
- Build on strong partnerships with external talent sources such as Universities (UK and abroad), agencies and online resources (e.g., Linkedin and jobs boards) and includes a programme of external engagement (e.g., workshops, work experience, insight days)
- Be the internal expert on current labour market trends, providing market intelligence and insight to the business, e.g., competitor movements and fluctuations in salaries.
- Engagement with Sygnatures alumni network, utilising alumni referral scheme and a calendar of engagement activities to support employer branding and the Talent Acquisition strategy.
- Development and maintenance of a strong PSL of recruitment suppliers and external sources, including recruitment agencies/headhunters etc
- Responsible for the delivery of an informative and engaging onboarding programme, which supports the ‘arriving’ element of the Sygnature People Strategy.
- To be responsible for managing spend against the Talent Acquisition budget including, relocation and visa sponsorship.
- Ensure data integrity and reporting as well as compliance with company and local legislative requirements.
- Develop key metrics on the effectiveness of talent acquisition both on speed, cost, effectiveness and experience but also on the effectiveness of recruitment marketing spends
- Report and analyse the overall effectiveness (Return on investment) of Industrial Placements, Phd Industrial Placements (PIPs), workshops, events, conferences etc.

What You'll Bring
- Previous experience of Managing a Talent Acquisition Team with focus on developing an organisational recruitment strategy, experience of head hunting and direct hiring methods and previous ownership of senior hiring
- Level 5 CIPD or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience in delivering successful recruitment campaigns with technical or scientific industry experience beneficial.
- Knowledge of the UK Visa and Immigration process and SMS system
- Knowledge of the current labour market trends and ability to keep up with the changing landscape
- Strong people management skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to gain buy in
- Strong commercial acumen and experience working to budgets.
- Confident and credible communication style both written and verbal – happy working with candidates and colleagues at all levels
- Significant knowledge of recruitment legislation and employment law
- Experience in setting, measuring and reporting of KPIs that help drive the function and support business success.
- Able to use own initiative to solve problems, and navigate obstacles which arise during the working day. Restlessly curious to question the status quo and find better ways of doing things.
- Highly computer literate, e.g. Microsoft Office and HR information Systems, ideally experience working with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
