Proactive Global has partnered with global robotics business developing humanoid robots. It's unique opportunity for engineers to work on cutting-edge technology in a highly collaborative environment. We are looking for an electrical testing engineer to help design complex testbeds for improving our biped robot product. You will work closely with the controls and production teams to make sure the testbeds are up to spec. An ideal candidate has robotics testing and electronics design experience.
This position requires in-person presence in Norway. We offer assistance with relocation for successful candidates.
Responsibilities
Every day here is different. You'll get to build testbeds and testing equipment for system identification and production testing. You will collaborate closely with engineers from robotics disciplines and lead the electrical design and development of testing equipment for internal use in R&D and production. With time, you'll get to coordinate the rest of the testing and systems integration team to deliver high quality testing equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB design and electronics testing.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard design and simulation tools like Altium, OrCAD, or similar.
- Direct experience working with PCB manufacturers, ensuring designs are manufacturable and align with tolerance requirements.
- Good understanding of embedded systems and firmware.
Nice-To-Haves
- Previous work in robotics or automation, demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges in the field.
- Ability to code in C++.
- Knowledge of communications architectures including ethernet, EtherCAT, BiSS, RS485/422, LVDS, SPI
