In the exciting environment of global trade, questions like these shape our business. The Data Insights & AI team designs and builds analytics solutions to provide insightful answers to our colleagues worldwide. We work in small, cross-functional teams jointly with specialists across the business. You share an office with a diverse team of likeminded Data Scientists, Visualization Experts, Data Warehouse Developer and colleagues with in-depth knowledge about our business.
Responsibilities
- As part of our team, craft the right datasets that help the business to make a difference.
- Build and maintain our data warehouse design and architecture.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain high quality data pipelines and datasets.
- Hands-on work with our Product Owners, Data Scientists, and Visualization Experts to ensure that we solve the right challenges and transform data in the right places with the right technology.
- Jointly with your colleagues further innovate and strengthen our Data Engineering practices around testing, monitoring, performance optimization, etc.
- Participate in international project groups.
Qualifications
- Excited about applying your technical and analytical expertise to the world of global logistics.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data warehouse architecture and modeling principles (such as KIMBALL, data vault, or star and snowflake schemas), database management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL is mandatory.
- Experience in Spark, Python, and/or other programming languages and frameworks relevant to data modeling and transformation is nice to have.
- Ideally, familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable with working in international and interdisciplinary (project) teams.
- Fluent in English.
