About The Team

The Credit Risk team is a small but very important part of the Unzer Group which contributes to the success of the company.

Based in Vienna we are focusing on the optimization of the merchant acceptance rate and the incidental bad debt. Rolling out new products for Unzer Luxembourg, we are looking for a Credit Risk based in Luxembourg and supporting the local entity from a credit risk perspective.

By deeply supporting each other we ensure that no one is left behind and the delivery of excellent results.

What your work will look like:

  • Implement and roll out relevant risk related policies and procedures for the local entity.
  • Use your analytical mindset to identify, track, and monitor key trends, insights, and high-risk segments that contribute to losses.
  • Undertake regular reviews of Credit rules and policies to ensure lending remains within risk appetite, whilst also identifying opportunities to increase lending volumes.
  • Liaise with external partners such as Credit Agencies to evaluate new opportunities to enhance Credit Risk management.
  • Create and run key performance reports to ensure senior management remain updated on key risk measures.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to work in a collaborative manner on key Group-wide projects.


What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Proficient MS-Office skills.
  • 1+ years of working knowledge of SQL or similar coding language.
  • Experience creating Tableau reports.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • You do not hesitate to proactively approach open tasks.
  • You are a team player that can also function while working on their own.
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.


Please note that we will not sponsor your visa or relocation, and you must have a valid work permit to be eligible for this position.

Nice to have:

  • Any experience in other coding languages such as “R Studio”.
  • Background/experiences in the Payment/Banking industry.
